Borgosesia bids farewell to Battioni: over 60 years dedicated to motorcycles

The community of Borgosesia has said its final goodbye to Piero Luigi Battioni, the long-time owner of a motorcycle workshop in Aranco, which served as a local landmark for more than six decades.

Last morning, the residents of Aranco gathered to honor Battioni, who passed away at the age of 88 after battling a prolonged illness. Widely respected and well-known, not only in the neighborhood but throughout Borgosesia and nearby areas, Battioni was a cherished figure.

For more than 60 years, he managed a workshop and store specializing in the sale and repair of bicycles and motorcycles, leaving an indelible mark on the community. In 2011, his dedication and expertise earned him the prestigious “Sergio Canuto” award from Ascom, recognizing his outstanding career in the field.

The entire community mourns his loss, remembering him with affection and gratitude for the legacy he left behind.
